Home at Last

Hello All -
Jon and I are home safe and sound. We started coming back on Tuesday at 6:00 and got home on Thursday at 3:00....long trip. We are so thankful and blessed to have had such a great trip. Everything went better than expected. The weather was perfect in Israel.
We have some incredible pictures and hope to post some soon. Currently, they are too large to post.

Holy Land trip

Jon and I are on the final leg, heading home from Israel. It has been a life changing experience for both of us. We got to walk where Jesus walked and will return. We met such wonderful people....Americans, Brazilians, Canadians and Israeli! I will miss them all.

Early morning, tomorrow

We are getting up bright and early tomorrow, to leave. It will take us about 2 days to get there. Oh, and yeah...it's an 8 hour (ahead) time difference. Please continue to pray for our safety. I get nervous, then excited, then nervous!

Had a wonderful time with the Griesse family during Thanksgiving.

Leaving on a jet plane

Well, the day has finally arrived! I am finally packed and the house is in good shape. Jon and I got a good nights rest last night. We laughed, when we went to bed at 10:15 p.m., because it was 6:15 a.m. in Israel. Oh, brother, the 8 hour difference is going to be a challenge!

Trip

Well, things around our home have been busy. We are counting down the days until our trip to Israel! We had dinner with friends and an Israel group from Cobb, last night. So great to hear their stories and advice. I am comforted by our conversations. Jon and I are extremely overwhelmed with getting the opportunity to travel to the holy land. It is a once in a lifetime trip for us. Please pray for our health and safety.

Israel Trip

Well, we are counting down the days until our trip to the Holy Land. It is a trip of a lifetime for Jon and I.
Here is a list of some of the wonderful things we get to do:

• Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee
• Float in the Dead Sea
• Visit Crucifixion site and take the Lord's Supper
• Baptize in the Jordan River
• Old/New Jerusalem
• Tour the oldest city in the world, Jericho

Okay, needless to say, I can't wait!! Thanks to everyone for your love and support!

Friends

As we go through life, we make friends and lose friends. I have found that it is harder to make new "good" friends the older you get. My biggest mistake is being too self-consumed....dropping good friends when I have a big event in my life. Looking back and asking myself, why did I do that?
There are people that I would like to reconnect with....I will be praying for that to happen.
